Generally, artificial grass with a shortened pile height will wear better than a longer one, especially in heavy foot traffic areas. A pile height of between 22mm and 32mm will offer the illusion of  freshly cut grass.

The density of the artificial grass fibres is important. The denser the fibres of the grass, the better they will support each other to stay in an upright position. For commercial areas, we recommended choosing an artificial grass with a pile density of between 16,000 and 18,000 per square metre – this helps it last longer in commercial areas. The more stitches per square metre the more expensive the artificial grass will be, however investing in a good quality product right from the start will mean it will last longer.
