Before you start measuring your lawn, there are a few steps you need to follow so that you can have accurate measurements and be efficient about it:
Clear the Area
- Remove obstacles: Clear away any items that you don’t need and might cause inconvenience to your measurements, such as trees, garden furniture, toys, hoses, etc.,
- Trim tall grass: If your grass is not mowed for a long time and is now very long, consider mowing the lawn before measuring. This will also help you get a clearer view of the lawn’s shape.
Plan Your Approach
- Divide and conquer: If your lawn is complex, you probably need to consider breaking it down into smaller, more manageable sections. We will talk more about this later in this blog.
- Sketch it out: A rough drawing of your lawn can help visualize the measurements and calculations.
