When a project area is a big rectangle that spans from wall to wall and there will not be any adjacent planter beds, then there is not much to conceptualize. Otherwise, to create a harmonious landscape with other natural elements (i.e. shrubs, trees, boulders or hardscaping), then drafting a conceptual design is highly recommended.
